Mello Buckzz’s Album Celebration Turns to Chaos

Buckzz’s boyfriend and best friend were among those killed in the shooting. The four dead individuals are confirmed as A 24-year-old man, as well as two adult women who were shot in the chest, and a 25-year-old man who was shot in the head, according to NBC Chicago.
“We was having so much fun in our private little life, couldn’t leave each other alone, glued to my hip every day. It’s not a night we ain’t spend together,”. Buckzz mentioned in her Instagram story. “I’m so f__ing angry. You was woke I held yo hand until I couldn’t. You talked to me. Clearly ion get it boo, I’m F__ed up.”
The rapper added, “My heart broke into so many pieces rn it’s unbelievable. Why is this happening to me?
Pastor Donovan Price stated the scene to the AP, “When I arrived last night, it was absolute chaos, from people screaming to blood on the streets, to people lying on the street,” he said. “The worst I’ve seen-just people wanting to find their other people, find who was alive, finding where their phones were because they dropped them in the chaos.”
Victim’s Condition
Three others were last listed in critical condition, police said, including a 21-year-old woman who was shot in the mouth, a 24-year-old woman who was shot in the leg, and a 24-year-old woman who was shot in the back. Two were listed in fair and serious condition: a 32-year-old woman who was shot in the thigh, and a 31-year-old woman who was shot multiple times throughout her body.
Eight of those shot were last listed in good condition, including a 29-year-old woman who was shot in the shin; a 29-year-old man who was shot in the thigh; a 31-year-old woman who was shot in the knee; a 25-year-old man who was shot in the hand and thigh; a 25-year-old woman who was shot in the thigh; a 30-year-old woman who was shot in the hand; a 29-year-old man who was shot in the forearm; and a 27-year-old woman who was shot in the foot.
Past Tragedy at the Same Location

In the same location, there was a bar called Hush that was shut down due to the 2012 shootings. Where one man was dead and three people injured.
Johnson said Thursday that “shootings like these are a tragic reminder of how far we still have to go as a city,” he said. “Shooting into a crowd is not the best of who we are. It is unacceptable and will not stand for that in the City of Chicago. We are frustrated , but we are also grieving. We will not rest until there is a full accountability.
